A specialist manufacturer of glass-reinforced concrete for building façade panels will quadruple its output following a move to new premises just outside of Wolverhampton.
And that puts Telling Architectural on track to boost its 60-strong workforce to 90 within the next two years as production increases. Key legal advice on the lease was provided by Charan Thiara of FBC Manby Bowdler’s commercial property team. Established in 2002, Telling Architectural enjoyed steady growth for many years but it was the decision, in 2013, to expand in to the production of glass-reinforced concrete (GRP) that changed things for the business. This caused its turnover to double from £2.8m in 2014, to £5.7m just a year later and as Mike Wood, director explained, a move became a necessity.
Telling Architectural is thrilled to reveal an exciting expansion plan which will see it move to a new factory and double its production capacity. Although still based at Four Ashes in Wolverhampton, Telling will soon move to a 60,000 sq ft production facility. Whilst the new production facility is only 300 metres from its current site, it is three times larger and enable the company to significantly boost its manufacturing output.
The relocation, which will also see an increase in a range of jobs, comes in the wake of the ongoing and increasing demand for Telling’s unique GRC – glass fibre reinforced concrete – facade panels with a particular focus upon natural brick facings.
Telling Architectural is proud to announce that it has gained ISO 14001 certification upon its manufacturing plant and management systems at Four Ashes in the West Midlands.
